ASB Roles & Descriptions

Within our fifth-period based Associated Student Body, students are able to apply for several different roles that include Core Four ASB Officers, Class Officers (for their respective class), ASB commissioners, and School Board Rep! Scroll over their photos below to see what they do and view their constitution!

 ASB Core

Under "ARTICLE VII"

Four students—ASB President, ASB Vice President, ASB Treasurer, and ASB Secretary—are elected through a campus-wide vote to oversee the entire leadership and ASB classes, spearheading events like Homecoming, Trojan Olympics, and Jack Emery.

Open to incoming juniors and seniors with at least one year of Leadership or Student Government experience.

 ASB Commissioners

Potential commissioners have the option between roles like Spirit, CLOGs, Public Relations, Link Crew, Student Store, and Elections Commissioner and will lead a dedicated committee based on this appointed position. This role allows for near-complete freedom to create your own game plans, timelines, and make your vision a reality!

Open to incoming sophomores, juniors, and seniors with no requirements for prior leadership experience.

Class Officers

Under "ARTICLE VII"

Open to all incoming grades, with no requirements for prior leadership experience—just drive and power 😈

 

Four students per class—Class President, Vice President, Treasurer, and Secretary—are elected through a class-wide vote to oversee their respective class' Homecoming, Trojan Olympics, and other grade-based competitions!

In addition to this, two Class Commissioners will be chosen by the elected cabinet to serve alongside them.

School Board Rep.

Under "ARTICLE VII"

One student chosen by a campus-wide vote to represent Milpitas High School at bi-weekly School Board Meetings. From these meetings, the SBR will write and present oral reports and summaries at Student Council and Congress meetings. 

Open to incoming sophomores, juniors, and seniors with no requirements for prior leadership experience.
